The Author

She had always wanted to write children’s storybooks. However, her work as a marketing communications professional kept her busy for many years. Then came the COVID-19 pandemic. During the lockdown, Lee Ching had more time to think, review her priorities and interests. She started writing her first children’s storybook, “Making New Friends With Baby King,” for her grandson Ethan. The first of five books in the “Baby King and Friends” series, this book was released in April 2021. Encouraged by the positive response to her first book, she continued writing stories with a touch of whimsicality and fun for young readers.

Inspired by a love for simple writing developed from her earlier career as a journalist, she focuses on stories that young children can relate to, and provides parents with simple and colourful storybooks that they can read to or with their little ones. Other titles followed, and her fourth collection of picture books, “Baby King and Friends (Series 2)” was just released. Tune in for more information on children’s stories with strong local content.
