At a very low tide, Baby King and his friend, Myrtle, visited Chek Jawa, Pulau Ubin’s intertidal zone. Both of them were surprised to see many colourful sea creatures that were not visible at other times when the water level was high. There, they met Stari the sea star, who brought them around to see the different sea creatures – fiddler crabs, hermit crabs, and other interesting sea creatures. They saw a crying baby sea horse and heard from Stari the threats the beautiful sea creatures faced from visitors who took them away and destroyed their habitats. The story ends with a call to all visitors to just admire these sea creatures and leave them in their habitats so that more people can see them.
